Privacy Policy for Flashboard

Introduction

Flashboard ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Flashboard app for iPhone and iPad (the "App") handles, where it is kept, and how you can delete it.

In short: we do not collect any data. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. We cannot see your displays, drawings or how you use the App.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Personal information: no names, email addresses, phone numbers or contacts
• Your content: we never receive the text, drawings, templates or clock and pomodoro settings you create
• Usage and analytics: no tracking, no crash or usage analytics, no behavioral data
• Device and location: no device identifiers, no advertising identifier, no location

Where Your Data Is Kept

On your device

Your displays, templates, settings and pomodoro statistics are stored on your device. The App's widgets read the same data through a shared container on your device.

In your own iCloud (optional)

If iCloud Sync is turned on (Settings in the App; on by default), your displays and templates are also stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account, so they are the same on all your devices. This storage is provided by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Only your devices signed in to your Apple Account can read it; we have no access to it. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time.

In-App Purchase

Flashboard is free to download. The optional one-time purchase "Flashboard Pro" is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we receive no personal or payment information. The App only asks the App Store whether the purchase has been made, to unlock its features on your devices.

Notifications and Permissions

• Notifications: if you use the pomodoro timer, the App asks for permission to show reminders when a focus session or break ends. These notifications are scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to us.
• Live Activities and widgets: the pomodoro countdown and clocks on the Lock Screen and Home Screen are drawn on your device from data on your device.
• The App does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or health data.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share any data, because we do not collect any. The App uses only Apple's system frameworks and services (such as StoreKit for purchases and CloudKit for iCloud Sync); it contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep no data about you. You are in full control of the data the App stores for you:

• In the App: delete individual displays or templates at any time (swipe or select them in the library).
• iCloud: turn off iCloud Sync in the App to stop syncing. To delete the copy in your iCloud, open the Settings app → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Flashboard.
• On your device: deleting the App removes all data it stored on the device.

Children's Privacy

Flashboard does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

International Data Transfers

We do not transfer any data. Data you keep in iCloud is stored by Apple as described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and describe significant changes in the App's release notes.

Apple Privacy Requirements

• The App includes privacy manifests (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) for the App and its widget extension.
• No tracking takes place and no data is collected.
